Barbara was born on April 12, 1939 to the late Novada Carter Holt and Harry L. Holt. She slept peacefully away to glory early Saturday morning March 22, 2025. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Holt Barbara was a long time employee of both Potter & Brumfield and Brown Printing. She was a lifelong member of Greater Taylor Chapel A.M.E. Church. As her mother before her, she believed in serving God and her church faithfully. Barbara was a trustee, served as head of the Missionary Society and worked diligently in the kitchen. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 57 years Purvis Garner, Two daughters - Sheri Bailey (Sammy) of Franklin, KY; Renita Carter of Murfreesboro, TN; one son Keith Garner (Anjanetta) of Bowling Green, KY; eight grandchildren, Sharnaye Bailey (Earven Flowers) Round Rock TX, Sherese Bailey, Bowling Green, KY, Hannah Carter, Murfreesboro, TN, DeAlalmar Garner, Bowling Green, KY, Jaden Garner, Bowling Green, KY, and Keith Garner Jr. Bowling Green, KY. Three great grandchildren, Payden Slack, Braylon Flowers and Crew Garner. Barbara has three sisters, Patricia Gamble and Ramona Holt of Franklin, KY. Mary Lou Finn, Detroit, MI; one brother Bruce Holt of Franklin, KY. She also leaves a host of friends.
