Houston Smith Jr was born to Virginia Smith and Houston Smith Sr. He was a proud 1983 graduate of Franklin Simpson High School, Houston excelled as a tight end and punter, wearing jersey number 41. His athletic ability earned him numerous football scholarship offers, and he was a two-time member of the Kentucky State Football Team. He also lettered in both football and basketball, leaving a legacy of excellence, sportsmanship, and dedication. He was formerly employed by Brown Printing and was a member of Alpha Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Father Houston Smith Sr., his beloved Sister Kim Smith, his loving paternal grandparents, Dixon and Mary Alice Smith, and his loving maternal grandparents. Livinia Dinning and Willie Lee Milliken. He leaves to cherish his memory his forever loving Mother Virginia Milliken Smith, his children, Brittany Gooch, Damon Rigsby, Quentin Kitchens, Leah Smith and Sharika Long, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Aunts. Uncle, and a host of other relatives and friends.
 

Above all, he will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends. He was deeply loved and cherished, and his generous spirit, and kind heart will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, kindness, faith, and friendship will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. His memory will be treasured always, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, classmates, teammates, and the many lives he touched. Well done, good and faithful servant.
