Marie “Rie Rie” Mason 78 of Adairville, Ky transitioned from this life on Friday September 19, 2025, In the comforting presence of God. Born on January 10, 1947, In Logan County, Ky, to the late Raymond Mallory Sr. and Ella Lee Bigbee Mason. Marie lived a life filled with unwavering faith and strength. 

 

Marie had a deep love for spending time with family and helping others. She joined Townsend Grove Missionary Baptist Church at a young age where she served until her health would no longer allow her. She had a strong dedication to her church where she sang in the choir, started the vacation bible school as well as the Black history month celebration. Marie was on the bereavement and kitchen committee at Townsend Grove Missionary Baptist Church. 

 

Marie attended school in Adairville, Ky. She was a dedicated employee of 30+ years at the Auburn Hosiery Mill No. 2. She also was a volunteer at Russellville Hospital and received a certificate for civil defense. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Sr. and Ella Lee Mason. Two nephews,  O. J. Edison and Jonathan Taylor. Though her heart carried the pain of those unimaginable losses, she continued to pour love into her family and community with grace and resilience.

 

She leaves behind one precious son; Cameron Jamaal Mason of Adairville, KY, Three Grandchildren; Kenlie, Braelynn and Elijah Mason. Ten siblings; Mildred Taylor (Joe) of Adairville, KY, Annie Frances Taylor of Auburn, KY, Pauline Parham of Springfield, TN, Raymond Mason Jr. (Gail), Brenda Dickerson, Rickey Mason all of Adairville, KY, Teresa Warfield (Micheal) of Louisville, KY, Rita Mason of Franklin, KY, Regina Miles (Stanley) of Terre Haute, IN and Stacey Mason (Kimberly) of Clarksville, TN. One Aunt; Annie Elizabeth Taylor of Indianapolis, IN. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

 

Though she is no longer with us in body, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved parents and nephews, resting in perfect peace.
