He was born to the late Eddie Sr. and Katie Bell Bigbee. Rev. Bigbee accepted Christ at an early age. He worked as a Supervisor at Emerson Electric for many years. He was a faithful member of Townsend Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he accepted his call into the ministry. After serving at Townsend Groves, he became the Pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church where he served for 32 years. He often blessed the community by visiting the sick, counseling those in need and was heard on WRUS radio station. 

He was preceded in death by his son Ronnie Bigbee and four brothers, Roosevelt Bigbee, Billy Ray Bigbee, James Howard Bigbee, Henry Michael Bigbee and Martin Allen Bigbee.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 65 years, Annie Ruth Bigbee; Sons, Michael Wayne Bigbee (Paula) Russellville, KY, Donnie Bigbee, Springfield, TN, Freddie Bigbee (Sandra) Adairville, Ky; One daughter Areka Young (Victor) LaVergne, TN. Thirteen grandkids: Tasha, Jessica, Kayla, Cheteka, Makeya, Donnie Jr, Brittany, Isaiah, Maliyah, Misty, Cassandra, Desmond (Yezmin), Taylor; twelve great grandkids and five great-great grandkids. Sisters- Lucille Harris of Louisville Ky, Shirley Pitts of Springfield, TN, Sandra Chambers (Bobby) of Springfield, TN, Maxine Washington (Bobby) of Adairville, Ky and Carolyn Finch (Tony) of Adairville, KY; Two brothers, Charles E. Bigbee (Nancy) of Russellville, KY, and Jerry Bigbee (Elaine) of Allensville, Ky, Sister-in-laws; Josephine Bigbee, Barbara Hendley, Brother-in-laws-Mike (Louise) Holcomb, Robert Holcomb and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
