Teresa Harris Reed was born on August 6, 1952, in Franklin, Kentucky to the late Jessie Lee and Margie Marie Stewart Harris. She departed this life on January 17, 2025.

At an early age she confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized at the Alpha Missionary Baptist Church. Teresa was a faithful member of the Alpha Angelic Choir.Teresa was a graduate of Franklin Simpson High School in Franklin, Kentucky. After graduation, she began her career in management with the Kroger company in Tennessee. Teresa was an artist, seamstress, and loved spending time with family and friends.

Teresa Harris Reed was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Doaks jr., and her brothers, Jerry Lee Harris and Ricky Lane Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters; Sonya Willis (Dr. Carl Willis) and Tomica Downey; five beloved grandchildren; Ashley Downey, Darius West, D'Angelo West, Cameron Willis, and Braeden Willis; two great grandsons; Ryeland and Greyson Downey, one brother, William Harris (Jeanette); two sisters, Yvonne Harris and Sheila Harris Jackson (Michael); devoted friends, Jerry Downey, Carl Reed, Bettye Sue Bryant, and Michael Autry as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
